Laura was a little jealous after the great day Don and I had yesterday. Sometimes you just go herping to see stuff, not to accomplish anything else. So this morning Laura and I went back to the same site Don and I had found hognose snakes the day before. Laura wanted to see a hognose so we took a shot.

I'll keep this one really short. We didn't end up with a hognose. We flipped one tin I was sure would still have a bullsnake that we saw the day before because it was in shed and was probably going to hang out there until it shed out. Well, that tin had a bullsnake shed under it instead of a bullsnake. Luckily a few tins later we found the freshly shed Bullsnake (Pituophis catenifer sayi).

That was all we saw today. I thought the snake was really pretty after the fresh shed, and any excuse to have Laura in a post makes it worth it too me. We didn't see a lot, but the bullsnake was cool and it's always fun to get out and herp with my best thing I have in my life.
